Two weeks before the 2019 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships begins shape of the 2.8 kilometer long track is beginning to emerge.

“During the weekend 30 volunteers have put up the first fences on the large area at Bogense Kyst Camping,” says Claus Rasmussen, chairman of Cycling Odense and coordinator for the many volunteers who have been on the job.

“A lot of details have to fit together and in the coming week we must refine all the very small things, so the skeleton for the route is completely ready next Sunday.”

One of the very important elements of the World Championship track is the mobile bridge over Bogense’s harbor entrance and that will be put in its place already on Tuesday morning, connecting the two sides of the harbor for a week.

“It is a detail that has not been seen elsewhere in the history of cyclocross story and it gives these championships the “Something special” – touch.”
