With 289 riders from 24 countries, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Bogense sets a record in relation to the number of participants at a world championship in cyclingcross.

“Until now the 2016 World Championshps in Belgian Zolder had the record with its 275 riders so at UCI we are extremely pleased that Bogense will be even bigger,” says Christelle Reille, cyclo-cross responsible at the international cycling union.

The largest delegation comes from The Netherlands with the maximum allowed 30 riders. Belgium is represented by 27 riders, while France has 22 and the Czech Republic sends 20 riders to.

17 riders represent the Danish national team while the smallest delegation comes from Iceland with Men’s U23 rider Gustaf Darrasson all on his own.
