“Seen from my point of view, there are many reasons why the Danish round of the World Cup in Cyclo-Cross can be a big success. And I’m really looking forward to coming to Bogense on Sunday November 19th.”

Henrik Djernis is a living legend in Danish cycling. Not only because of his three gold medals at the World Championships in Mountainbike, but also because he – in 1993 – as the only Danish cyclist until now won the senior World Championship in Cyclo-Cross.

“The course in Bogense is really exciting and wonderfully varied. With its long straight stretches speed is in demand. There are many sharp turns to challenge the riders’ technique and the slope in front of Bogense Church is not as easy as it may seem, “says 51-year-old Djernis, who owns a bicycle shop in his hometown of Kalundborg.

“As far as the event itself is concerned it is a big advantage that the venue is in the city itself  where the audience is. And with many different festive features spectators are sure to have a most enjoyable day in Bogense on the 19th.”
