All prominent riders will start when Bogense on Sunday will host the 4th leg of the Telenet UCI Cyclo-Cross 2017.
224 riders from 19 different countries. That is the content of the UCI preliminary starting list for race which will take place on November 19th.
As far as Men’s Elite is concerned the rivalry story between the two absolutely dominant characters of the sport, Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel and Belgian world champion Wout van Aert will get a new chapter written in Bogense – with strong contenders such as Lars van der Haar (NED) and Laurens Sweeck (BEL) will be ready to push the top favorites to the limit.
Former Danish junior world champion Simon Andreassen is likely to be present at the front of the U23 class where 18-year-old British super talent Thomas Pidcock will definitely be highly competitive too.
And as far as the women are concerned it looks like a close run between the ruling Belgian World and European champion Sanne Cant as the favorite along with the technically sublime Dutchman Sophie de Boer and her physically powerful countryman Maud Kaptheijns.
Also American riders will be likely to mix in the top of the women’s race where a total of 14 nations will have riders participating. From Australia and Canada and the United States to Italy and Sweden.
Asia is represented in the men’s race with Japanese Yu Takenouchily – and the men provide the biggest field of the day with a total of 67 riders from 15 countries – Belgium as the absolute biggest squad with 18 riders.
